After 4 years of silence she released her new album, Biophilia in October 2011. More of an artistic project than a traditional music recording, as Björk was composing many tracks on an iPad and while doing so, she also created applications to the songs. The album features some self-developed instruments, which also guarantee a truly special experience of sound and vision at the 2012 Heineken Balaton Sound.
Being the most important cultural ambassador of the small Northern island, Björk is all in one: an alternative pop star, a movie actress and a fashion icon. It’s pretty hard to compare her voice and ultra-dramatic songs to anything else out there.
