Lily Allen performing live at Sziget

Get ready for our freshest and  hottest confirmation: chart-topper tomboy, Lily Allen, having just released her second album, is performing live at Sziget Main Stage. Also on the bill this year, in an earlier afternoon slot at Main Stage is another lady, Balkani r'n'b Queen Miss Platnum.

The most wanted singstress on the European festival circuit this year is undoubtedly this young lady, who unifies audiences instead of dividing them for she is so attractive, cool, has an incredible voice and so unique altogether. Her luck was secured by being born back in 1985 in Hammersmith: she could never help becoming a popstar, being raised in a district the venues of which have always swarmed with the hottest acts of contemporary pop. She had Joe Strummer as family friend, attended the best schools, and as a teenager she already sang an Oasis song in such an amazing way that even the scornful Gallaghers were dumbfounded. Her debut "Alright, Still" proved there's no rivalling her rightaway. One irresistibly catchy tune came after the other (Little Things, Alfie, Smile) including several number one hits. This year's "It's not me, it's you" raised her fame even higher without having to stoop to the media fuss her earlier rivals always seem to need. Lily's calendar is completely booked this year, which makes her Sziget Festival appearance (beside Glastonbury, Roskilde, T In The Park) even more special. So how does she manage to do so much in so little time? Hosting TV shows, producing mix-albums,working for charity funds are things to adore her for if the songs are not enough, not to mention her own special head-to-toe collection Lily Loves.

Sziget audience is also to be rocked by Miss Platnum's, the Balkani r'n'b queen's ethno-hip-hop tunes. She was born in Temesvár in 1980 as Ruth Maria Renner. Six months after her parents had migrated from the communist dictatorship of Romania, she followed them, organizing her escape to Germany herself as an eight year old kid! Having settled in Berlin, she eventually "caught the ear" of Jocelyn B. Smyth (Maceo Parker, Eddie Harris, Candy Dulfer, Falco, Alphaville). Due to Smith, Ruth got into the circulation of the Berlin underground scene, and moved on as the singer of the band Moabeat. Her solo debut "Rock me" was released in 2005 on Berliner indie label Sonar Kollektiv. The follow-up "Chefa" incuded her German and Romanian chart-success "Give me the food".
