From 1st July, value added tax will increase from 20 to 25 percent in Hungary, which fact will unfortunately affect Sziget ticket prices as well. Thus it's hardly a pleasure for us to announce that the VAT for ticket prices at Sziget (also VOLT Festival and Heineken Balaton Sound) is to be increased from July.

This means that for example the price of Sziget weekly passes with accomodation will increase fom 180 to 188 Euros. Non-accomodation weekly passes cost 150 Euros until 30th June, and 156 Euros thereafter. The 40 Euro daily ticket price is to be changed to 42 by July. Due to the VAT-change, tickets for day zero and day minus one will be raised fom 20 to 21 Euros.

VOLT Festival in Sopron will be launched on the day of the tax-change, while Balaton Sound in Zamárdi will begin one week later. Advance-priced tickets are still available for both festivals until 12nd June, 12 PM. After this date you can purchase full price tickets with 20 % VAT by 30th June, but after that you'll have to buy full price tickets with increased VAT.
