You will be able to buy "Moving in" Tickets from 6th August at ticket booths on the festival site. In case of buying it the purchasers must take notice of the fact that there are construction works on the area and they can only enter on their own responsibility. At the same time they must accept that only a certain part of the festival's infrastructure is in operation. "Movin in" Tickets valid only with Camping Ticket! Where can I buy tickets? You can find the complete list of ticket outlets in advance on the Ticket Vendors menu. How long are tickets valid for?Day Tickets are valid from 2am on the given day until 8am the following day. Please note that if you leave the festival after 2am, you won't be able to come back in with previous day's ticket! Can I buy tickets on the spot during the festival?Yes, ticket booths at the entrance of the festival site are open 24 hours daily. Please note that tickets might run out as the capacity of the festival is limited, depending on the number of visitors. Can I pay by card for the ticket on the site?Yes, you can pay by card at designated ticket booths on the festival site. What types of passes are available? There are two types of passes available: Camping Tickets and Non-Camping Tickets, which entitle you to different things. Neither are transferable. What is a Caravan Camping Ticket? We have designated an area on the festival grounds (marked on the map) for Caravan Camping where festival goers arriving in mobile homes or caravans can camp. Mobile homes constitute vehicles with fixed beds, therefore station wagons with folded down back seats or microbuses with laid down mattress do not entitle you to use the Caravan Camping. To enter the Caravan Camping site the vehicle must have a Caravan Camping ticket, which entitles you to one entry between 9th and 16th August. If you leave the festival site during the event, you will not be able to come back into the camping area with the ticket. In order to use Caravan Camping each person in the mobile home/caravan must have a Camping Ticket. What is the VIP Camping Ticket?Even though the camping facilities of Sziget have already been regarded as top quality on an international level, we have decided to develop a new area grouping the best services in order to create a better-than-good camping experience: that is what VIP Camping is about. At this guarded territory, approximately 300 camping places will be available, where a checkroom, a safe deposit, a cellphone charger, internet, Wi-Fi, a grocery store, a snack bar with a roofed terrace and a launderette can be found; all these with permanent supervision, cleaning and information service. The VIP Camping is being built right next to the open air swimming pool on Sziget, therefore the campers can pass the time bathing and drinking cocktails by the pool. Only campers of the VIP Camping are entitled to use the swimming pool. What does a Camping Ticket entitle you to?The Camping Ticket is practically the traditional Sziget weekly pass, which just like in earlier years entitles you to use the campsites in the camping area and related services. With the Camping Ticket you can attend the "-1" day concert as well as the "0" day concert. What does a Non-Camping Ticket not entitle you to?As there are a lot of people who find other forms of accommodation (such as staying with friends or at other places, or are simply from Budapest) but still wish to buy a pass at a reduced price instead of purchasing day tickets, a few years ago we introduced the so-called Non-Camping Ticket. With the Non-Camping Ticket you cannot enter the festival ground on the "-1" day (9th August) and on "0" day (10th August), you are not allowed to bring a tent, stay in a tent or a caravan, or use the facilities provided for those who have a Camping Ticket (i.e. use the showers, camping area). Therefore, it is cheaper than the Camping Ticket. How do we check that people do not stay over with a Non-Camping Ticket? With a Non-Camping ticket you cannot bring a tent into the festival site, which we check at the entrance. We constantly and increasingly check wristbands in the camping areas. Visitors who sleep here with a reduced price Non-Camping wristband will have to pay the difference in price otherwise they risk being expelled from the event. You can also expect increased checking at the camping facilities (showers) as well. Can you camp with a day ticket? In the last few years, Camping Tickets, and therefore campsite spaces ran out in advance. So, no complaints are accepted if someone with a day ticket would like to stay over but cannot find a space in a campsite as the day tickets entitle their holder to the events of the given day not to the camping. Yet, we do not fine anyone who sleeps on the festival ground until his/her day ticket expires. Day tickets entitle you to enter the camping areas if you have two or more consecutive day tickets. Do children need tickets, too?Children prior to their 11th birthday can enter the Event free of charge. What can I do if I leave my ticket at home?If you leave the voucher that you purchased through the official website at home, you can turn to the staff in the "Problem Cassa", located at Bridge K, who will try to identify your purchase through our online system. Unfortunately, if you didn't buy your ticket online, or via other websites, we will not be able to solve your problem, and you will have to go home for it. Can I return my ticket? Please note that tickets are non-refundable. Can I transfer my online ticket to someone else?Yes, just click here! Can I exchange my Non-Camping Ticket for a Camping Ticket?Yes, you can exchange your ticket at the ticket booths by paying the difference. TRAVEL, TRANSPORT, PARKING
What is the exact location of the festival?Budapest, 3rd district, Óbuda Island. How can I get to the festival? You can find detailed information to this question in the Travel menu. How can I get to the festival by car?Like last year, we would like to ask you not to approach Óbuda Island, the location of the festival by car. Instead you should use public transport or the ferry lines leaving from Batthyány tér, Jászai tér and Vigadó tér. How can I get to the festival from the centre of Budapest?Take the local suburban train (HÉV) from Batthyány tér to Filatorigát and then follow the crowd. How can I get to the festival by boat?Similar to earlier years, a ferry line runs daily both from Buda and Pest during the festival. You can buy tickets for the festival at the ferry station but you can only pay by cash. (You can't pay with travellers cheques, vouchers or credit cards.) How can I get to the festival by bike? It's well worth coming to the festival by bike as the cycling lane running on the Buda riverbank leads right up to the festival gate. Not to mention that we look after your bike for free until you leave for home. How can I call a taxi? The festival's contractual partner is City Taxi, who as usual will offer their services at a modest transfer rate. You can find the taxis in the parking lot. If you have any questions or requests regarding the service call the central number (+36-1-2-111-111) which operates 24 hours. Can I drive into the festival grounds with a caravan?A Caravan Camping is open at the festival (with limited capacity), where you can only enter with mobile homes, caravans, and other vehicles transformed into sleeping places (not including station wagons with folded down back seats). Can I take my motorbike into the festival grounds? You can bring your motorbike into the festival if you have a Camping Ticket, but it's forbidden to ride a motorbike inside the festival site. You will have to park it, but we cannot take responsibility for parked motorbikes. Where can I park, is there a secure car park?It is difficult to park in the surroundings of Sziget as there are no parking places, therefore it is pointless to arrive by car. The Sziget Office doesn't operate a car park and for this reason WE ARE ASKING EVERYONE TO APPROACH THE AREA OF SZIGET BY MEANS OF PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION (SUBURBAN TRAIN, SHIP, TAXI, BIKE). What is more, we cannot take any responsibility for vehicles parked outside Sziget. Those who still happen to arrive by car, are asked to arrange their parking well in advance and use the guarded, enclosed car park, operated by contractors, a few hundred meters away from Szentendrei Street. Signposts will signal the way to get there. Can buses drive into the Sziget grounds?Larger groups – after previous arrangement via info@sziget.hu – can enter on the bus they arrive in. In such cases the staff will exchange the tickets for wristbands that entitle them to stay at the festival, then the bus can take them to the camping area. After that the bus has to leave the Sziget area. OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
