BANKING AT SZIGET

K&H, Sziget's Bank
K&H Bank provides visitors with ATM-machines at six different areas of Sziget you can use nonstop for cash withdrawal. Should the ATM-machine take your card away, you can pick it up at the K&H Bank at Vigadó tér (1051 Budapest, Vigadó tér 1.).

CURRENCY EXCHANGE

Currency exhange points Good Change are waiting for you with favourable exchange rates, and are available twentyfour hours a day. You can find these exchange points at the following venues: at the entrance of Sziget, in the City Centre, at the Boathouse, and near the area between the City Centre and the Pesti Est World Music Main Stage.
Opening hours: from 5th August 00:00 to 15th August 09:00. 

LEFT-LUGGAGE OFFICE

Attention! This service is free of charge, and it is strongly recommended to take advantage of it. This is the only place where your rucksuck and all your other belongings are being kept safe - you can find the left-luggage offices at the venues indicated on the map (- at the corner of the road to the Harbour, - next to the Main Health-care Point, - in the northern part of Sziget, - in the Boathouse, - next to the Caravan Camping, - and in the City Centre). Do not leave anything in your tent, please!

In case something belonging to you got stolen, you should inform the Sziget-police office, located next to the road to the Harbour, about it. Should you lose something, you can ask about it at the Information, or call the line of „lost and found objects” twenty-four hours a day during the festival,or until 15 th September from 10 am to 6 pm on weekdays: +36-20-425-6066.
 

LOCKERS FOR VALUABLES

If you have a really important possession, you can keep it safe at the lockers for valuables, located at the Boathouse and the City Center. You should limit the usage of these lockers to your smaller, more valuable possessions!

HEALTH CARE SERVICES

You can find 3 health care service checkpoints at the site of the festival. (On the way to the Harbour, at the Main Stage, at the Northern Camping). The Main health care center is located at the corner of the road leading to the Harbour, with doctors and nurses offering proper medical care, whereas at the two smaller first aid-venues skillful nurses are available to help you.

Health care patrols are monitoring the venue of the festival continously, so you may ask for their help any time. They help you reach the health care centre if needed, or they tell doctors or the ambulance to come and pick you. up. If you do not find a health care patrol, then the members of the security crew or the workers at the information checkpoints can also help you get to the proper place where you can be taken care of. The important thing is NOT to dial 104 (the ambulance's number)! In case you need a specific medicine, you can obtain it at the pharmacy right by the Main Health Care Centre.
Should you have some sort of a psychological issue, feel sad or unhappy, or just need somebody to talk to, our experts are ready to listen to your problems at the SoulAmbulance. Should you have any drug-related questions, the Prevention tent provides you with proper answers.

We would like to remind you to take care of your own physical well-being, and also that of others! Do not drink too much alcohol, or drugs! Do not stay exposed to direct sunlight for too long! If the heat is on, drink plenty of water, use sun lotion and wear a hat! Our partners in co-operation with

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

There are more frequent trains of the H5 local railway to Szentendre throughout the festival, and every 20 minutes at night. Throughout the event, trams number 1 and 1A are also leaving more frequently all day, in order to avoid crowds, and the same applies to buses 901. Tram number 6 cummutes all night at Nagykörút.

BKV SHUTTLE BUSES

You may use the service of charter buses by BKV with a CITYPASS wristband.
On the first few days of Sziget, when moving in, on 8th August (-1st day), on 9th August (0. day) and 10th August (1st day), you may approach Hajógyári sziget by charter buses, from Liszt Ferenc Airport. These charter buses reach both terminals between 6.45 am and 0:15 am, in every 20-30 minutes, and at 1:15 am for those arriving with late flights.

The buses stop at Keleti and Nyugati railway stations, too. Otherwise, they only deliver passangers to the venue of the festival. On 9th and 10th August, from 5:45 am to 11:15 pm, direct buses from Keleti and Nyugati railway stations pick up passangers in every 20-30 minutes, in order to make things easier for you.

On 9th and 10th August, after the programs are over, buses leave at 11:15 pm and 01:00 am in every 10-15 minutes from the main entrance of Sziget, and go through the following route: Mozaik utca – Szentendrei út – Árpád híd – Róbert Károly körút – Hungária körút – Puskás Ferenc Stadion – Kerepesi út – Keleti pályaudvar – Rákóczi út – Blaha Lujza tér – Erzsébet körút – Teréz körút – Nyugati pályaudvar. If you want to get off anywhere else, let the driver know as the bus will stop at all other official bus stops, too.

On the days of moving out, we offer two routes to get directly to the railway stations or the airport. From 14th August 11pm till 15th August 2pm buses go in each 5-15 minutes to Nyugati and Keleti railway stations. On 15th August between 3am and 2pm buses go in each 10-20 minutes to both terminals of LisztFerencAirport. If you arrive after 10PM, you can still enter the airport shuttle bus by showing your Citypass presales-voucher.

BKV SHIP SERVICE: RADIO 1

City centre ship service
Between 5th August 2011 and 15th August 2011, it leaves in every 30 minutes between 2:00 pm and 2:00 am.

• From 2 pm to 9 pm to the following venue: Petőfi tér, jetty nr. 8 (from Vigadó tér to the south) – Batthyány tér – Jászai Mari tér – Petőfi tér, jetty nr. 8 (south of Vigadó tér). While travelling from Sziget to Petőfi tér, the ship will only stop at scheduled stops, and if it does not hinder the traffic.
• From 21 pm to és 2 am the following route is valid: Sziget – Jászai Mari tér – Batthyány tér – Petőfi tér, jetty nr. 8. (south of Vigadó tér) – Sziget. While travelling from Petőfi tér to Sziget, the ship will only stop at scheduled stops, and if it does not hinder the traffic.
• On 15th August from 2 am to 2 pm, in every 20-25 minutes, with the following route: Petőfi tér, jetty nr. 8 (south of Vigadó tér) – Sziget – Jászai Mari tér – Batthyány tér – Petőfi tér 8. (south of Vigadó tér). While travelling from Petőfi tér to Sziget, the ship will only stop at scheduled stops, and if it does not hinder the traffic. 

Beach Ship Service

You can use thebeach ship service with a Budapest CITYPASS wristband or tickets available at the venue.
Ships are leaving Sziget in every 90 minutes on 8th to 14th August 2011, from 9:30 am to 5:10 pm at the following route: Sziget – Margitsziget, Szállodák – Sziget – Pünkösdfürdő – Sziget, touching all the beaches near the harbours. The beach ship service has the following schedule:

PORT.HU BIKE LOCKERS

You may approach Sziget by bike on the Budai quay,and we will take care of your bicyle for free until you leave for home. At the free lockers the usual place at the tennis court by Caravan Camping), our experts may even help with small repairs and maintanance if really needed and you kindly ask for it. Our partner in co-opertation with us is the Hungarian Bicycle Club.

RENT A BIKE!

Look for orange bikes at the entrance of Sziget! The prices for renting a bike: 2000 HUF/6 hours, 3000 HUF/24 hours, 12 000 HUF/5 days, and 16 000  HUF/7 days. The official rent-a-bike venue of Sziget is: bike@budapestbike.hu (www.budapestbike.hu).

TAXI

Similarly to the previous years, this year you may use taxis for special-offer transfer-prices. Contact the dispatcher service at the parking lot at K-bridge.If you are coming from the city centre and own a CITYPASS, you can use the most favourable, number 5 tarif of City Taxi. When you get in the taxi, show your CITYPASS wristband. If you have a valid ticket or wristband, you can get to the internal parking lot by City Taxi.

Considering the fact that it would take ages to list all of them, you should take a look at szigethotels.com and check the menu „accomodation”.
 

SZIGET INTERNET TENT

Sziget internet-tent may be used free of charge by visitors of Sziget festival from 11:00 am to 02:00 am, and the maximum time you may use the service is 20 minutes.
Guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs may not enter the tent and use the computers, and visitors abusing the rules of the festival may be denied entrance or be asked to leave the tent. Visitors are required to use the computer and its accessoires properly, if they happen to harm these equipments, they will have to pay for the expenses caused by the damage. It is strictly forbidden to disturb other guests in the internet-tent. Eating, drinking and smoking in the internet-tent is forbidden. Services of the Sziget internet-tent can only be used if the above-described guidelines are fully accepted and rules are not violated. 

SERVIVES FOR VISITORS LIVING WITH DISABILITIES

Obstacle-free toilets, shower rooms are available at more locations of Sziget, indicated on the map. In front of the Main Stage, you may find a podium only available for our handicapped visitors. Our visitors living with disabilities who have a valid daily- or weekly ticket, may use  a special bus free of charge with skillful and well-equipped helpers from 1 pm to 12 am, with the help of Veled-Érted Association. The bus from Batthyány tér leaves in every two hours from 1 pm, and stops at Flórián tér (where you may park for free). The other way round the first bus leaves at 2 pm. The last bus from Sziget leaves at 12 am. You can get more information about buses at the following number: +36-20-982-4076.
If needed and asked for in advance (tel.: +36-1-240-7968), one wheelchair is also available at the venue for those who need it. More information: +36-1-372-0650.
There are plenty of services of public utility at one place, so that it's easier for you to get ahead!

LAUNDRY SERVICE

When camping for a week, your clothes may need to be cleaned and washed. We are offering you help with this – you can hand in your laundry at the Information center, and you can pick up your clean clothes there, too. Sziget-visitors' clothes are washed by Liliom Textilápoló Szalon at Info. At two other venues (not at Sziget though) you may even so your own laundry by using their laundromat-system. VIASAT3 Marriage tent

Not a minute younger than Sziget itself, still more popular than ever. The institute is old, we have gotten used to it and have grown to like it, too. The way it's being introduced this year is a bit new, though: VIASAT3 makes this most important day of your Sziget-experience truly memorable. Find your loved one, get married and we have some surprise for you in the Marriage tent and on VIASAT3, too!

PLAYHOUSE

You can kill time with giant wooden logical- and boardgames if you have nothing else to do... or simply want to test yourself and have fun.

M&M ART TENT

This is the tent where you can learn how to create cyanotypes and argentotypes, which are beautiful, old and rare photographical tricks. You may use your own photos or our negatives, and you can keep the photos in the end. You can also create monotypes, which is a special graphic method. We will help you with the print of your freshly created artwork, and after having it framed, you can bring it home. In this tent, you may even try pottery, make statues. And try other areas of art and handcraft with the herlp of the Master's students. We encourage you bring your artwork home the day you have created them, so that they would not be damaged or broken.

At the GreenArea InfoPoint you can get more information about the ZÖLDÖVEZET® (GreenArea) Environmental Program: their events give you a glimpse of environmental issues and programs associated with Sziget. This is where you can take part in trash-exchange actions and other games, or meet young people interested in green issues. Moreover, this is where you can get a disposable trash sack for your tent. DONATE BLOOD

Donate blood and save three lives!
Hungarian Red Cross is happy to welcome anyone wanting to help at the blood transfusion camp, in front of the Boathouse! On day zero from 3 pm to 8 pm, on all other days from 11 am to 7 pm. Bring your ID, TAJ- or EU health insurance card, or any other insurance ID! On the day of blood donation – before giving blood – do not drink any alcohol (afterwards you can drink if you want to). Don't be hungry and drink plenty of alcohol-free liquid!
 

BLOODSUGAR-TEST

Free bloodsugar-testing and advice at the kiosk of One Drop of Attention Foundation, opposite the Adventure-castle. On 13th August from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, on 14th from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm, on 15th from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Give one drop of attention to your health!
