British Sea Power at Sziget!

We are pleased to announce our latest artist confirmed: British Sea Power will play on the Main Stage of Sziget for the first time.

The British band led by the Wilkinson-siblings is mostly associated with the indie label, however their unique musical world cannot really be classified: a testimony of this is the ten years the band spent together, their four studio albums - The Decline Of British Sea Power (2003), Open Season (2005), Do You Like Rock Music? (2008), Valhalla Dancehall (2011), and the music (re)-composed to the 1934 movie Man Of Aran.

2012 will once again see some of the hottest new bands in the festival’s line-up, including synthpop phenomenon, Hurts and UK rock scene’s finest ambassadors, The Horrors and just to keep the right mixture of new and iconic, Placebo.

Sziget Festival won the Best European Major Festival title at the European Festival Awards. A joint effort of the festival’s organizing team and the votes of a devoted fan base in over 60 countries resulted in the best possible news to start up the year.
