Thumbs up from Financial Times

British economic benchmark Financial Times introduced Sziget as one of the best summer festival.

This year already brought many great acknowledgements for Sziget: starting with a Top 10 rating at the European Festival Awards, followed up by a Top 5 listing in the European events evaluation of The Independent, and also by the introduction as a ‘Top Festival’ in world music’s famous Songlines magazine. Luckily this list of positive and honorable feedbacks is not yet over, as this week we received another great review, this time from Financial Times. In an article presenting 7 world-class events, Sziget is proud to be included besides fellow giants Glastonbury, Roskilde, or Japanese Fuji Rock.

Nostalgia stays home, cool bands come instead

2012 will once again see some of the hottest new bands in the festival’s line-up, including synthpop phenomenon, Hurts and UK rock scene’s finest ambassadors, The Horrors and just to keep the right mixture of new and iconic, Placebo.

Sziget Festival: the best of the biggest

Sziget Festival won the Best European Major Festival title at the European Festival Awards. A joint effort of the festival’s organizing team and the votes of a devoted fan base in over 60 countries resulted in the best possible news to start up the year.
