And great acts indeed: Korn – metal icons, presenting their newest album; The Vaccines – maybe the coolest indie invention of last year; Magnetic Man – legendary rulers of dubstep; Two Door Cinema Club ... you name it.

2012 will once again see some of the hottest new bands in the festival’s line-up, including synthpop phenomenon, Hurts and UK rock scene’s finest ambassadors, The Horrors and just to keep the right mixture of new and iconic, Placebo.

Sziget Festival won the Best European Major Festival title at the European Festival Awards. A joint effort of the festival’s organizing team and the votes of a devoted fan base in over 60 countries resulted in the best possible news to start up the year.
