For all the false beliefs, Down Under has never been a wasteland on the pop world map. Just think of its glorious past: AC/DC, The Bee Gees, INXS, Birthday Party plus Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, not to mention the recent breed with the likes of The Vines, Jet, Wolfmother or Youth Group, an unforgettable experience every one. And, lo, Perth-based Pendulum joins the array of worldwide famous Aussies, too. Formed in 2002, the band emerged from two producers' collaboration Rob Swire and Gareth McGillen subsequently recruiting dj Paul 'Elhornet' Harding. Following the success of their debut “Hold Your Colour” the guys made up their minds and chose to move on as a real band. That's how their unique sound developed which blends electronic meticulousness with vigorous rock and the rules of classic popsongwriting. The encounter of Tool and Timbaland over the dissection table, say, to make us feel smart... This hybrid recipe proved highly successful and they travelled round the world under the tag of drumandbass-rock-electronica trinity from the US to Shanghai now with their dj set, now with the band ramification and this time calling at Sziget, too!
